+Andy Gordon
It is with much sadness that we have to announce the recent death of Dr. Andy Gordon.
Andy was the longest serving member of EFNA, and a pillar of the association.
He was President of EFNA for 7 years between 1986 and 1992, representing the UK.
He was secretary of the organisation for 30 years, between 1986 and 2016.
He attended 35 meetings in total.
Andy contributed immensely to the operation, the activities and the success of EFNA.
He had a huge knowledge of the forest industry, and in particular had great experience in the supply of tree seeds and FRM. His wealth of knowledge of general nursery practise helped him to support the technical side of EFNA’s operation for many years.
Since Andy retired from EFNA in 2016, he maintained his interest in trees by working part time with the Woodland Trust and the National Trust in the UK.
Andy leaves his wife Fiona and their 2 sons Robert and Duncan.
Fiona attended almost all of the EFNA meetings with Andy, and was well known to EFNA members, past and present
